Most dermal filler patients are age 35 or older. But people of any age can have dermal filler injections to correct scarring, pitting, or other facial depressions from acne, injuries, or other conditions.

As facial Wrinkles and creases begin to appear as the underlying collagen and elastin figures begin to break down and wear out after the age of 25. While this breakdown is part of the natural ageing process, it can also result from excessive squinting, frowning, smoking or sun damage.

Generally, a course of treatments are usually required to obtain the required results. However, in contrast to replacement fillers which require regular refresher sessions, after the end of your Scupltra® programme the results will last up to 2 years.

This treatment is ideal for treating:

Results from dermal fillers are immediate and often improve over time. The effects usually last 6 months to 2 years. After a few treatments, some patients need less of the fillers and their results can last longer. Sculptra provide longer-lasting results compared with many other dermal fillers.

No down time is needed to recover after treatment with dermal fillers. Most side effects such as redness or tenderness at the injection sites, firmness, swelling, lumps/bumps, itching, bruising, or discoloration are mild and last less than 5 days.

After dermal filler injections, patients should avoid:

Getting too much sun

Drinking alcohol

Exercising for 24 hours (to prevent unnecessary bruising)

Cold outdoor activities
